Current and future Projects

Our next project is a new playground! We have some money put aside for this project already and will again be looking to The Parish Council to help us with funding. Over the course of the next year we'll be running some events to increase the funds we have available for a new playground.

One of our biggest fund raisers is our village fete, this years fete will be on the 30th June. While its a lot of work its great to see so many people turn out to support us on the day. We try to 'share the load' on the day by having as many volunteers as possible so everyone can have some family time and enjoy the day as well. If you would like to get involved, either in planning and organinsing or just helping on the day, please do get in touch with us.

Completed Projects

Last year we built a Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) and a BMX pump track over the summer at the Community Centre. The MUGA can be used for basketball or football and is purpose built for the job. Kids can turn up and use it for free, no bookings needed. The pump track is great fun for children of all ages to race their bikes around.

So, how did it come about? In the parish plan, the youngsters of the village requested a skate park, a MUGA and a cycle area. We listened, and started finding out how to raise the funds to answer the wishes of the village. And, In December 2013, the Community Centre was delighted to be awarded a grant towards increasing sports participation from London Marathon Charitable Trust. And, in addition, we're pleased to have received additional grants from Hartwell Parish Council and South Northants Homes. We'd anticipated installing one of the children's wish list activities, but with the grants we were able to do two!

Another project we had was to replace the flooring in the Community Centre. After many years of service the floor was starting to look tired and worn out so the committee decided a new floor was in order. Both the main hall and kitchen had new flooring installed which should last for many years to come.
